Finderne Development Trust are working with local volunteers to help co-ordinate essential support to the Finderne community in the areas of Altyre, Blairs, Blervie, Braemoray, Brodieshill, Burgie, Cathay, Dunphail, Easter Lawrenceton, Edinkillie, Glenerney, Logie, Rafford and Relugas during the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you are at higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19 and would like to shield but need support with accessing prescriptions or food shopping, please contact us at the number above, ideally between the hours of 9am-6pm. We can then relay your request to local volunteers.
Since March 2020, Finderne Coronavirus Support has grown into a network of dedicated local volunteers who have collected prescriptions, delivered food shopping, helped with the supply of fresh produce, enjoyed many a blether on the phone and so much more. We have so many heartwarming stories to tell. From cookies and bright seasonal bouquets left on the doorsteps of those in need to volunteers posting hand written messages of hope, the volunteers have gone over and above the call of duty and are spreading joy at every turn. To them, we say thanks. Finderne has really pulled together as a community!
Hands. Face. Space.
Please remember that coronavirus is contagious. We are taking every precaution to help ensure that volunteers are only spreading kindness by providing hand sanitiser and PPE – and you should take precautions too. Avoid physical contact by staying at a 2m distance from those living in another household, wear a face covering and wash your hands with soap regularly. Any items that are delivered to your home will be left on your doorstep.
We will follow this protocol to ensure we keep you, and all the volunteers, as safe as possible.
Please note that we cannot offer medical or emergency assistance.
We’re all in this together.
