In our original 5-year strategic plan Health and wellbeing was a stand-alone project which also included plans for local home care provision.

Covid but a halt to this activity although FDT were considered an anchor organisation in the community and therefore received funding to support our community through the pandemic.

In the post covid climate FDT feel that the health and wellbeing of our community should be an underpinning principle rather than a single project.

To this end FDT will continue to seek out opportunities to work with community groups to support projects focusing on this area.

FDT also provided the Winter Support Grant over the winter of 2022/2023 which helped over 100 local households with winter fuel bills.
