Finderne Community Facilities

In 2018 one of FDT’s original projects was to build a community Hub. Post Covid FDT checked with the community via a community facilities survey and the results suggested working with existing facilities and associated groups was preferable to constructing a new hub at this time.

Specific local buildings and facilities within Finderne

In the Finderne area we are lucky to have two community halls, Rafford Village Hall and Edinkillie Hall, the newly restored Boathouse Bothy and Stable Room at Loch of Blairs created by Friends of Blairs Loch ( SCIO), Rafford Church Hall, the newly restored Clubroom at Altyre Estate, the Long Room at Logie Steading and the Ting Hoose venue at Marcassie Farm.

Quite a choice within our community!

Finderne’s existing facilities.

Edinkillie Hall

Edinkillie Hall has a large hall with stage, separate small hall, kitchen, and toilets.

The hall can be hired for £40 per day plus electricity, charged at 20p per unit.

The Ting Hoose at Marcassie Farm

The building is fully accessible.

The Clubroom Altyre

The Clubroom is located near the Glasgow School of Art building on Altyre Estate. Recently refurbished the Clubroom has two large rooms, the larger one being upstairs, while the kitchen with more seating and the two toilets are on the ground floor. No disabled access.
