Micro Project Fund

This initiative, which provides up to £1000 to local groups or individuals trying to carry out an event or activity which benefits the community, has been very successful so far this year.

The FDT supported a dance workshop in August at Altyre Clubroom offering free sessions to Finderne residents.

The FDT is currently supporting art workshops at Logie school with a local artist.

The FDT is working with a kilt maker to host some printing workshops based around the flower meadow.

There is still a limited amount of funding available that can still be applied for.

Employment and Training

The FDT is currently sponsoring an apprentice from the Finderne area with Greenleaf Design. He is in his third year and is progressing well.

The FDT has been in discussion with other local businesses and DYW (Developing the Young Workforce) Moray, regarding other apprenticeship options.

The FDT is planning on further engagement with local businesses to establish their needs and how best the FDT can support them.

Health and Wellbeing

The successful and greatly appreciated winter support grant, which ran during the winter of 2022-2023, will be launched again for 2023-2024. More news on this in the coming weeks.
The FDT is currently working with and supporting two local toddler groups, one at each village hall, to ensure free/low cost facilities are available to all.
Further initiatives will be considered as the year progresses.
